I’ve admired Nikki for quite some time… she has an an incredible sense of style, that I absolutely adore, and her creativity and talent is enviable. In short she’s a badass!  There, I said it!

I first met Nikki while doing a photo shoot for Paper Cut Project. Her insanely creative paper venture, with writer Amy Flurry, is best explained by viewing her creations (on her website and this  blog entry). After our first shoot I had dinner with Nikki and remember her telling me about her boyfriend, Garrett. She giggled when she spoke of him and her face lit up with happiness.  It makes me melt to see someone so in love!

The expressions on Nikki and Garrett’s faces during their ceremony will make you want to melt as well. They are some of my favorite images from their wedding day. Garrett’s eyes are teary with happiness and Nikki’s smile makes me think she might burst from joy.

I sincerely felt honored to photograph this couple’s wedding and was pleased to capture so many lovely moments for them.

Without further ado and gushing please enjoy the images of this super stylish, super happy couple!

I love when bridesmaids dresses aren’t exactly the same! These two are stunning!

Besides spending hours creating the most amazing and whimsical paper masks and wigs you can imagine, Nikki also has a super cool fashion blog. Check it out, It’s called The Fashion Gatherer!

I worked with an amazing team of vendors on this wedding!

I love an outdoor wedding in the country! Having it at Vinewood is extra special, so I was delighted when Amanda and Mark chose me to document their wedding day. This couple and their families were a joy to work with and I’m really pleased with the happy moments we were able to capture.  For the complete story of their wedding day please check out the link to their slideshow:

I especially love the images from Amanda and Mark’s ceremony as well as the  Horah. I wonder if this was the first time the dance has happened in the barn at Vinewood?! So much fun, enjoy!

Lake Lanier holds a special place in the hearts of Jen and Chase.  They have spent many days and weekends on the lake with friends and family over the course of their relationship. Chase even proposed to Jen at the Lake. So it was no surprise  that this couple chose to get married at the place where they have so many happy memories.

Their wedding day, while a little windy, was characterized by lots of laughter and joy. And it was my pleasure to document this couple as they exchanged vows and celebrated the beginning of their new life together.

First look

It was a little chilly during the ceremony. Chase was so sweet with Jen; holding her hands in his to keep them warm.

They wrote their own vows which I loved!

I loved the emotion that Jen’s sister showed during the ceremony.

One of Jen’s bridesmaids did the worm at the reception; very impressive (not to mention very funny).

I love this last image of Jen and her sister, who caught the bouquet.

Lake Lanier Islands Resort (Legacy Pointe)

Before Melissa and Ryan were my clients they were my friends. In fact a few years ago they missed our holiday party  because Ryan was proposing… I guess I’ll forgive them. I’ve had the joy of seeing their relationship grow over the years and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to shoot their wedding.

I love all of the emotion in Melissa and Ryan’s wedding photos. I particularly love their first look, it makes me want to melt.

This was such a fun event! Everyone seemed to be having an amazing time at the reception! Of course it didn’t hurt that Joel of Lethal Rhythms was the DJ.

Elizabeth and Marc seem like two old souls who were made just for each other. I loved having the opportunity to photograph this easy going couple’s beautiful wedding at the Villa Christina. The elements of the day were so thoughtful and personal from the brides veil, her mother’s, to the couple’s touching vows and ceremony.

The image above is one of my favorites, so tender and sweet, they are so happy just to be in each others presence.  I also love this couple’s first look and first dance; all images that make me smile. Besides smiling I also want to laugh out loud when I see the images from the toast. I’ve decided that Marc has one of the best laughs.

Oh… and as if I didn’t already love this couple enough they sent their guests home with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Yum… I’m not going to lie, I had a few.  How could I resist.

I always enjoy an opportunity to shoot at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. No matter what time of year the grounds and gardens are always gorgeous. This was  particularly so on Angela and Jon’s fall wedding day. I really enjoyed getting to know this couple before their wedding and was so happy to capture many happy moments between them. Perhaps one of my favorite series of images was taken during the couple’s first look. They are both all smiles, laughter and joy and each time I look at the images I can’t help but to smile. I hope you’ll smile too!

The first look :

Each time I get to photograph or visit with Adam and Jacquelyn the happier I am I met them and had the opportunity to shoot their wedding. They (and their pug Dexter) are adorable, even their arguments are adorable. We met recently to discuss the design of their Queensberry Album and Jac’s wedding dress came into conversation.  The ever fashionable Jac is set on having her wedding dress repurposed into something shorter and fun that she can wear again and Adam can’t bare the thought of her touching the dress. He though she looked perfect in it and doesn’t want her to ruin it.  Ahh… I love this couple! It’s obvious after documenting their wedding and being around them that they are truly in love.  Not only does this couple have amazing chemistry, it’s also clear that they very much respect and adore each other.

I hope everyone has a lovely Valentine’s Day and is inspired by the images from Adam and Jacqueline’s wedding!  One of my favorite elements from the wedding day was the dress, Jacquelyn looks as if she might float away on a cloud of pretty. These newlyweds had every detail of their wedding planned to perfection and I was thrilled to work with such a great team of vendors (a complete list follows at the bottom of the post)!

Meredith and Todor are such a darling couple! They were all smiles and the epitome of sweetness through out their wedding day. This fresh young couple makes me believe in love! Todor was so excited to see Meredith during their first look that he ran to his beaming bride.

You are going to love these sweet images and probably giggle at a few. The flower girl is precious and one of my favorite images is of her just before she walks down the aisle. Children are always fun to photograph at weddings because they are always so unpredictable.

These two images capture one of my  favorite moments from Meredith and Todor’s wedding reception. The couple had been practicing their first dance for weeks before the wedding and are shown here doing one more quick run through before their guests arrived.

For me Melanie and Chris’ wedding at  King Plow holds so much beauty. Not only was everything aesthetically beautiful but I found the many emotions captured between the couple equally if not more lovely. I particularly love the images of Melanie and Chris during their ceremony. Maybe I’m just a sap but every time I see the image of Melanie and her father just before they walk down the aisle I well up with happy tears. Capturing moments like these makes me infinitely proud of the profession I chose!

I had the pleasure of meeting Susie and Shane a few years ago while sailing in the British Virgin Islands with mutual friends. They are both incredibly kind and warm and they know how to have a good time! They are perfect for one another. And I’m so happy to have seen their relationship flourish and grow and have the opportunity to document their wedding day.
