It seems that all of my girlfriends are having baby boys and I’ve been so pleased to be able to do their first photo shoots. Baby Cannon takes his name from his mother’s maiden name and is such a sweetheart.

Matt and Kelly

Ferris, Kelly’s first “baby,” meets Cannon for the first time.

I’m not sure Ferris knows what to think of the new baby.

My friends Samira and Jason had their first son Adrian around thanksgiving this past year and I recently had the privilege to photograph him. Big sister Celina was such a great helper during our shoot! I love the photo of the two below.

Hunter

It’s always a pleasure to be in the presence of Hunter! In December I had the opportunity to shoot his newborn photos and at eight months Hunter’s proud parents, Sabrina and Kevin, asked me to do a second shoot. Besides having the opportunity to photograph this growing family I also call this trio my friends. I’ve seen Hunter grow from a sleepy darling newborn to a happy, smiling, almost 1 year old with lots of personality! During our recent mini shoot with mom Sabrina I fell in love with this child’s many expressions and often laughed out loud while editing the final images because of his many varied funny facial expressions… really someone should consider making this kid an emoticon.

Enjoy the images! I’m looking forward to my next shoot with this little one.

Maggie and Merriwether

This past fall I had the opportunity to visit with my cousin Annie and photograph her daughter Maggie and niece, Merriwether. The newest edition to her family, daughter Katie Charlotte, was also in a few pictures… but only being a few weeks old she wasn’t quite up for playing with the older girls.
Growing up my grandmother would take me to Dalton to visit with the Thomas family and the highlight of my time was playing with Annie and her sister Katie. We always had the best time playing dress up, watching movies, being outdoors, giggling and laughing. I can’t believe we’re all grown up now and they have daughters of their own.
On the fall day I visited Annie and the girls we went to her parents home were Maggie and Merriwether played in the fall leaves, enjoyed a wheel barrow ride and fed apples to the horses.
I love you all and can’t wait for the next visit!

This is Merriwether and teddy bear.

Maggie and grandmother, Melody, make their way down the driveway.

Meet Maggie!

The girls enjoyed the beautiful fall leaves.

Melody coaxes a smile from Merriwether with tickling.

Who doesn’t enjoy a wheel barrow ride.

Merriwether wants to push.

The girls decide to enjoy the apples themselves before giving the horses a snack.

I love this outfit!!

Who could resist this pouty face?

Maggie waits on uncle Brock to bring a horse up the meadow.

Uncle Brock and Maggie.

Merriwether tosses an apple to the horse.

Merri finds a bad spot in the apple…

… she tosses it.
