It’s always a joy to work with such a warm and amazing couple! Even though rain threatened to dowse Brittany and David’s outdoor ceremony nothing could remove the smile from Brittany’s lips. She was one of the happiest and sweetest brides I have ever had the privilege to work with and it was evident that these two truly adore one another.

The ceremony and reception took place in north Georgia at The Ridges Resort.

The gorgeous flowers were designed by Cathy Brim with Bloom Floral Design. I’ve had the opportunity to work with Cathy in the past and I always know I’m in for a treat when she’s the florist!

The stems of Brittany’s bouquet were wrapped in a bit of lace from her wedding gown.

Brittany’s lovely mother, Sherry Stathas, watches her daughter getting ready for her wedding day.

David’s mom, Mrs. Dixon, (right) was so excited to finally have a daughter after raising two boys!

Mrs. Dixon and her friends were so excited all day. They had the best expressions and you couldn’t help but to be happy around them.

Brittany sees her father for the first time after putting on her dress.

Brittany’s biggest problem besides the threat of rain was keeping her garter on!

David’s grandfather was such a card; he has a talent for making everyone around him laugh.

Groomsmen wipe the rain from chairs just minutes before the ceremony!

It was truly beautiful to see how much love there was in both Brittany’s and David’s

family!

Brittany’s father had me in tears after his very touching toast. He’s a marriage and family therapist and gave the couple this advice:

1. ALWAYS BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER –NO MATTER WHAT.

2. SHARE AND RESPECT EACH OTHER’S OPINIONS AND FEELINGS. MAKE “WE” DECISIONS.

3. LAUGH OFTEN

4. BE BEST FRIENDS TO EACH OTHER

5. ROMANCE SENSITIVELY AND ENJOY WATCHING YOUR LOVE GROW MORE DEEPLY OVER TIME.

6. WHEN YOU HAVE CHILDREN KNOW THAT THE BEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE THEM IS TWO PARENTS WHO LOVE EACH OTHER.

 7. HAVE FUN SHERRY AND I HAVE DONE THAT AND IT HAS WORKED FOR US.
