I know what you’re thinking… “celery, how bleh!” I was a skeptic as well when I was assigned this shoot but I’m telling you that I have a new found appreciation for this vegetable that one only typically sees poking it’s head out of a bloody mary or hanging out on a vegetable tray or at best a second string ingredient. In this article celery is the star player in three phenomenal recipes, my favorite being Steven Satterfield’s baked farm egg in celery cream. The multi depth dish (pictured above) is easy enough to try at home but you can always sample the creamy concoction at Miller Union.

The decadent baked farm egg in celery cream is served with a crusty bread brushed with olive oil and grilled.
Braised celery topped with a gremolata. I especially love the gremolata and would put it on just about anything!
I couldn’t have been more thrilled to shoot this fashionable and loving couple with my dear friend Laura. I knew this was going to be an amazing day when I began shooting Matt and his brother and they were decked out in custom made three piece suits and fedoras. Matt definitely gets my vote for most stylish groom! Blair was equally stunning in her Lazaro gown and radiant smile.
The couple, who exchanged vows and hosted their reception at Primrose Cottage in Roswell, decided to see each other before the ceremony giving us lots of time for creative and beautiful portraits. These photos make me so incredibly happy! I know you’re going to love Blair and Matt as much as I do so please feel free to leave comments.
Christine and Mark’s sweet easygoing personalities made shooting their fall wedding day with Laura an absolute pleasure. After exchanging vows at Holy Spirit Catholic Church the couple took a trolley to the Park Tavern Garden Tent where they celebrated with friends and family. I love all of the beautiful moments that we were happy to capture and the landscape style portraits we shot at Piedmont Park.
We had such a time scheduling this shoot due to rain and calendar conflicts but I’m so happy with the day we finally chose. The fall leaves were in perfect form for this happy couple who are getting married this coming Spring! Enjoy Ashton and Josh’s engagement session shot at the Duck Pond.
The very sweet and beautiful Danielle married her professional super cross fiance Michael Byrne at Chateau Elan this past fall. Michael is from Australia so lots of family and friends traveled to see this fun, young, exuberant couple exchange vows. Thanks to my dear friend Laura for inviting me to shoot this lovely wedding with her!
From Tamela’s introductory email I could tell she was a very sweet and caring individual and someone that I truly wanted to work with. This suspicion was reinforced after our first meeting and I was truly grateful to work with such a happy easy going couple. Tamela and her husband Spencer were my last wedding of 2010. I loved their beautiful ceremony at the Hotel Palomar in Midtown and their unique and fun reception at Aurum Lounge.
Cheers to the newlyweds!
